MAJOR AIMS & OBJECTIVES
The major Aims and Objectives of Asia Pacific Jurist Association amongst others are:-
  1. To provide a forum to the members of the legal profession of different countries in the Region to meet, interact and provide insights into the different legal systems with the objective of promoting the interest of the Asian Pacific Region.

  2. To promote and create awareness of different laws and create a mechanism for their transnational implementation and to effectively deal with the challenges, arising on account of rapid economic development and economic environmental concerns of the Region.

  3. To promote the legal systems with focus on sustainable economic development so as to have maximum utilisation of resources of the Region to make the life of the people more prosperous and to preserve resources for future generations.

  4. To devise, suggest framing of laws, means of their implementation, to meet the international environmental standards, particularly with regard to the ozone layer and to work towards effective implementation of forest, wile life, water/air pollution control laws for the mutual benefit of the Region.

  5. To promote, represent and safeguard the legal interests of the underprivileged sections of the society in the Region, including socially and economically backward, mentally and physically disabled, street and working children, organised and unorganised labour etc. and to strive to have an effective machinery in the region to safeguard human rights. 
     
  6. To organize lectures, seminars, conferences, workshops and exhibitions, events and experience sharing visits and missions at Regional and international level which will serve as a fora for sharing  information, and keeping abreast of the contemporary world scenario.

  7. To educate and create legal awareness among citizens across the  Region with a special focus on Alternate Disputes Resolutions, Intellectual Property Rights and Environment Laws and Regulations amongst others.

  8. To create and provide for an Alternate Disputes Resolution Forum of international standard in the Region for resolution of corporate and commercial  disputes between the citizens and corporates of the   Region.

  9. To work closely with Law Schools of the Region in updating and developing curriculum, providing practical training,sharing practical experiences and for their overall development. Also to grant, pay or give scholarships, stipends, awards and allowances to needy and deserving and meritorious students of the Region with the view to help them in pursuing Legal education.

  10. To disseminate information and educational material concerning law, rules and procedures, techniques and practices of different member nations of the Region.

  11. To print and issue and exhibit any journals, periodicals, books, papers, pamphlets, advertisements, reports, lectures and other reading material for the promotion, benefit and advancement of the objectives of the society within the Region.

  12. To raise funds through grants, donations, subscriptions, loans, organising events etc. for achieving the aims and objectives of the Forum.

  13. To formulate expert opinion on related legal and social issues and subjects and submit recommendations to concerned authorities at the state, national and regional level within the Region, whenever necessary.
